The British Friends of the Hebrew University

The HU 2023/24 Academic Year has opened – our thoughts remain with colleagues, friends, students and alumni along with their families. We stand with the people of Israel and pray for a swift end to this conflict.

“The University, whilst trying to maintain the highest scientific level, must, at the same time, be rendered accessible to all classes of the people…the doors of our libraries, lecture rooms and laboratories must be opened widely to them all”

Chaim Weizmann, at the laying of the cornerstones of the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus 24 July 1918
The British Friends of the Hebrew University support student and academic collaboration, helping where possible with scholarships and bursaries and more broadly promote the University’s achievements.
