£1,000 and upwards: Endowment Funds
The Hebrew University appoints academic staff to teach across a wide range of subjects, and to pioneer research in fields across all disciplines. The income from an Endowment Fund will support an academic appointment in your chosen field of research, and your name will be linked to that appointment for its duration.
£10,000 and upwards: General Legacy Giving
If you leave a legacy of over £10,000, your name or the name of your loved one will be inscribed on one of the three Legacy Walls at Mount Scopus:
- The Legacy Wall of Honour £10,000
- The Wall of Life £75,000
- The Benefactor's Wall £650,000
We value any gifts, including those under £10,000, and will always endeavour to honour legatees and their families in an appropriate way.

£37,000 and upwards: Junior Academics, the next generation of leaders
The Hebrew University would be unable to sustain its research and teaching capabilities without a constant intake of talented young scientists and scholars.
A gift of £375,000 can fund an annual Lectureship, £275,000 a Postdoctoral Fellowship, £175,000 a Doctoral Fellowship and £37,000 a Graduate Scholarship. Such gifts can help support the studies of a talented young scientist or scholar and enables the University to sustain the next generation.
£650,000 and upwards: Professional Chairs & Senior Lectureships
A major gift of over £1.3 million will establish in your name a Professorial Chair, or £650,000 or more a Senior Lectureship, in any of the University's schools.
Your personal support will enable the recipient to carry out their research and development programmes without ties to commercial requirements. Your name becomes synonymous with that of the professor you support throughout their career, and with the publications and discoveries they give to the world.
£650,000 and upwards: Academic Centres
A gift or legacy of £650,000 or more entitles you to name an entire Centre of Studies at the University. You will receive regular reports on all major teaching and research achievements attained under its auspices, as well as opportunities to meet the staff and students who benefit directly from your philanthropy.
