Get more out of Israel and spend six months of your year out at the Hebrew University. The Hebrew University Gap Year Programme is a fantastic way to immerse yourself in Israeli life, culture and language. Arrive in August or January, enrol on an intensive Ulpan, and then take a six month semester in subjects of your choice alongside students from Britain, the USA and across the world. |
If you're feeling really adventurous, we can also offer you a two-semester programme, arriving in September and studying (with a winter break) through until June. See the calendar for this year's term dates.

Why should I go to the Hebrew U?
Unlike many other gap year programmes, HU students are empowered to engage with Israeli lifestyle on their own terms. After a day in class, why not volunteer at the Hadassah hospital? Or at a local primary school? Or hike across Israel after the end of term? Our event coordinator will help you find opportunities to suit your time, budget and desires.
