From a very young age, Shani Vaknine was fascinated by neuroscience, and completely amazed by what the brain is capable of. Now, as a PhD student under the joint supervision of Prof. Hermona Soreq (Department of Biological Chemistry) and Professor Liran Carmel (Department of Genetics), Vaknine in a unique position to benefit from the expertise, supervision and experiences at these departments – including, working on a cure for brain disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease.
