Please help the Hebrew University to help Ukraine

Tikun Olam – “Healing the World”

A Hebrew phrase that has become synonymous with social action and social justice, a moral imperative for every person to contribute towards improving their community and the world. It is a value that is integral to the mission of The Hebrew University.

Now is the time for Tikun Olam  – Please donate in support of Professors and students from Ukraine coming to the Hebrew University

Lives are at stake, our hearts are with all in Ukraine who have been harmed, have lost family and friends or remain at risk.

Considering the threat to lives of academics in the Ukraine, in solidarity, the Hebrew University is offering:

  • Immediate financial, emotional, and academic support to HU students of Ukrainian origin.
  • To host Ukrainian academic faculty members and researchers for up to four months.
  • To allow MA and PhD students at Ukrainian institutes of higher learning to continue their research at the Hebrew University for up to four months.
  • To enable Ukrainian residents pursuing undergraduate degrees to enroll in our English-language courses.

Please add to those funds already set aside by the Hebrew University for living & housing stipend, emergency study grants, English language courses, laboratory supplies & support for researchers

Hebrew University Friends in Israel and around the world are collectively looking to raise $500,000.  The Hebrew University will allocate these funds as circumstances dictate
