Prof. Sharon sees the world through the eyes of a physicist and experimentalist. Leading the new field of 4-D and self-morphing, he and his team are going to transform the way we literally see the world, from pasta that changes form when you cook it, to textiles that can be programmed to move in different shapes. They are even developing new construction materials that will change the way we build, cutting down on material waste, labor, time, and pollution.
