Marking the  67th Annual Legal Dinner of the British Friends of The Hebrew University, 170 guests gathered at Middle Temple Hall on 16 March.

The event, chaired by Lord Pannick KC included guest speaker The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon, Lord Chief Justice of England & Wales (pictured above) in conversation with Joshua Rozenberg KC (hon).

Prof Tomer Broude, Dean of the Hebrew University Faculty of Law delivered greetings while underscoring the importance of the 70-year relationship with the British Friends and expressing gratitude for continued and generous funding support.

Alan Jacobs, Chair of the British Friends, delivered the evening’s appeal, reminding attendees of the importance of continuing an outstanding track record of support, commenting “Now, more than ever, is the time to support the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a key pillar of Israeli civil society”.

The Annual Legal Dinner raised funds for two important Law Faculty programmes – the continued viability of The Clinical Legal Education Centre which operates the University’s pro bono law clinics, along with financial support to an annual cohort of Hebrew University students who come to London to the Centre for Transnational Legal Studies.

The dinner was a resounding success with guests lingering long after dessert to enjoy the atmosphere of this very special evening.
