Glocal Goes Hybrid
4th April 2024 Moriah Aharon

Glocal goes hybrid For the 2024/25 winter semester and offers a holistic experience to on-campus and online learners.

GLOCAL is an 18-month interdisciplinary Master’s degree programme at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. It is taught entirely in English and offers an innovative approach to social change and community development education by integrating global perspectives with local contexts. Through interdisciplinary learning and international experiences, students gain insights into how global issues impact local communities and vice versa. This programme equips graduates with the skills to address complex social challenges with cultural sensitivity and a commitment to social justice, preparing them to make a positive impact in diverse settings worldwide.

Given the ongoing war in the region, the University understands that relocating to Jerusalem for Glocal studies is challenging for many interested candidates. Therefore, Glocal team is glad to announce that they are shifting their 2024/25 winter semester to a hybrid format, offering a holistic experience to on-campus and online learners.

During the hybrid semester, classes will be thoughtfully scheduled in the afternoons on Israel time, accommodating European and American time zones. The schedule below shows more details on the well-rounded format they have developed.

Glocal will be participating at the University’s Digital Open Day on 14 April 2024. At the event, Glocal will officially launch the hybrid format and will be happy to answer all your questions.

Sign up to the open day  or contact Glocal at glocal.admission@mail.huji.ac.il if the hybrid format suits you.
