Wendy Pollecoff Executive Director |
Responsible for
• Being the face of Hebrew University in the UK
• Directing the professional and lay-leadership teams
• Setting the goals and strategy
• Knitting the web of knowledge and support for the University throughout the UK
Wendy was a Trustee of BFHU for over 10 years before she turned professional! Her background as a production engineer, venture capitalist and fundraiser provides a strong skill-set to compliment her interests and involvements. They include acting as a trustee and Treasurer of the Jewish Youth Fund, a Trustee of the Wiener Library, the Hugo Gryn Memorial Trust, the Jewish Chronicle Trust and membership secretary of the Norland Conservation Society.

Alison Friend Legacy & Scholarship Campaign Director |
Responsible for
• Promoting Legacies and Scholarships to support students in need
• Representing the Hebrew University around the country
• Supporting BFHU affiliation groups
Alison was previously with M&S, the NSPCC and Jewish Care.

• Strategy planning and its implementation
• Maintaining the profile of the University in the UK
• Advertising Campaigns

Julia Markson Campaign Manager |
Responsible for
• Administration across the whole organisation
• Relationship management
• Development of donor campaigns
Julia has spent most of her working life, which started at the RNIB, in the family retail business. She has just completed a 3 year stint as warden at West London Synagogue.

Before joining BFHU Jo worked in both the commercial world and for Jewish Care and Norwood.

Before joining Mikki lived in Israel for 7 years working as a CD ROM and internet consultant. She has worked for children's charities and the Commonwealth Jewish Council and Trust.

• Publicity and publicising the work of the HUJ
• Our regional programming and exhibitions
• Relationships with partners across the Community
Jason has a background in marketing consultancy. He spent a year at Rothberg International School, which he describes as "the most influential Jewish experience of my life".

Before joining BFHU Renna worked at Hammerson House and recently returned from a round the world trip!

Shoshana Bloom Student and Alumni Manager |
Responsible for
• Promoting opportunities to study at the University
• Maintaining contact with returning graduates
• Developing an alumni network
Shoshana has worked extensively on programmes and donors in the Community for UJIA and Jewish Care. She spent a "seminal year at Rothberg International School which profoundly influenced me, my working aspirations and my ambitions".

Alison has worked as an administrator in a number of commercial situations, and was volunteering before she joined us.

Marcia is actively involved in her community and is passionate about the University. She has broad experience in commerce managing databases.
