Deepening Israel-UK research collaboration focused on transformative technologies
The British Council has announced a new funding opportunity for UK-Israel research collaboration focused on transformative technologies. This programme invites applications from UK and Israeli institutions for collaborative research projects, offering grants of up to £200,000 over 3 years. This initiative is supported by the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology’s International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) in partnership with the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology in Israel.
ISPF UK-Israel Priority Themes:
Proposals should address both of the following core themes, with a focus on applied research:
1. Transformative Technologies: Developing responsible technologies for a secure future. Topics include:
- Quantum technologies
- Artificial intelligence in drug discovery
- Food-tech, such as alternative proteins and advanced food packaging (sensors and materials)
2. Tomorrow’s Talent: Nurturing talent to foster inclusion, research, and innovation.
