A message from the Hebrew University:
Three years later, so many people are still living with the consequences of that day: the families of those who were murdered, the hostages and their loved ones, the survivors, the displaced communities, and all those carrying trauma that is not always visible.
For our university community, this loss is deeply personal. We remember our students who were murdered or fell as a result of October 7 and the war that followed: Itamar Sapir z”l, Majed Ibrahim z”l, Nir Bernes z”l, Eyal Meir Berkowitz z”l, Carmel Gat z”l, Eitan Naeh z”l, Yisrael Sokol z”l, and Eitan Koplovich z”l.
May their memory be a blessing.
Ahead of the third anniversary of October 7, we prepared a special podcast episode asking how we continue to live with the trauma of that day, how individuals and communities carry memory, and how research, documentation, care, and testimony can help us understand what has happened and what still needs to be done.
We are deeply grateful to the scholars and practitioners who joined this conversation, and to the many people at the Hebrew University and beyond who continue this work every day with care, responsibility, and humanity.
We invite our community to listen, reflect, and share this episode across your platforms, so that these important conversations can reach broader audiences.
On October 7, we remember the victims and stand with all those whose lives were changed. We also hold on to our responsibility to listen, to learn, to document, and to help build a different future.
