The Hebrew University proudly announces its 2025 “40 under 40” leaders—forty exceptional alumni under the age of 40 whose achievements in innovation, science, education, public policy, culture, and technology are shaping Israel and the world. Chosen from hundreds of candidates, they represent the next generation of leadership and embody the spirit of excellence that defines the Hebrew University community.
Last week, in an inspiring ceremony at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, we proudly unveiled the list of 40 outstanding alumni young leaders under the age of 40 for 2025
The 40 young leaders hail from diverse fields – innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, public policy, culture, education and scientific research – both in Israel and around the world.
They were chosen from hundreds of candidates thanks to their extraordinary achievements, ground-breaking initiatives, and broad societal, industrial and research impact.
Prof Tamir Sheafer, President of the Hebrew University said: “It’s deeply moving to see how our graduates are leading change, in Israel and across the world. Each of the 40 honorees reflects the Hebrew University’s spirit of curiosity, excellence, and public responsibility. They remind us why we do what we do, to educate, inspire, and help shape a better future.”
These alumni represent the next generation of public, business and academic leadership: a generation of excellence and inspiration, who embody the values of the Hebrew University every day.
As the Hebrew University celebrates over a century of academic and societal leadership, the “40 under 40” initiative highlights the ongoing global impact of its graduates and their commitment to shaping a better future for Israel and the world.
