Prof. Michal Frenkel is Chair of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and the Academic Head of The Shaine Center for Research in Social Sciences at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof. Frenkel’s current work examines the intersectionality of gender and religiosity in the contexts of the segregated ultra-Orthodox colleges and in the high-tech industry in Israel. She has published extensively on Israeli society, gender, race, nationality, and religiosity within and around organizations, on center-periphery relations in organization studies, international management, work-family arrangements.
