What is a solar cell and how does it work? Join Professor Lioz Etgar in a Hannukah-inspired webinar and learn about the most recent advancements in solar energy. Professor Etgar will discuss the three generations of solar cells and where the technology is headed.

Professor Etgar is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Chemistry at the Hebrew University. His research focuses on the development of innovative solar cells, and he was the first to use perovskite to create a much simpler cell structure. Professor Etgar was awarded the prestigious Kaye Innovation Awards in 2021, and the Krill Prize in 2016. He has published over 100 articles, holds eight patents, and is the founder of Solra, a new start-up under the auspices Yissum.
