Why is Israel facing an unprecedented phenomenon of having four elections in two years? This webinar will propose explanations and will present a comparison of the elections of 2019-2020. Professor Gideon Rahat will also explain why the 2021 elections are both similar and different from the three previous elections.

Professor Gideon Rahat is a professor in the Department of Political Science at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a senior fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute. His research fields are comparative politics and Israeli politics. His interests include political parties, electoral reform, the personalization of politics and candidate selection methods. He has published numerous academic articles and several books.
